Committee on Ethics in the Use of Animals of the Multidisciplinary Center UFRJ - Macaé (CEUA/UFRJ-Macaé)

The Ethics Committee in the Use of Animals at the UFRJ Campus – Macaé Professor Aloísio Teixeira is the body in which all experimentation protocols involving animals in this Unit are submitted. The CEUA, through a conclusive written opinion, will authorize or not, within its competence, carrying out the experiments in accordance with LAW No. 11.794, OF OCTOBER 8, 2008, and with DECREE No. 6899, OF JULY 15 DE 2009. In addition, the CEUA is responsible for establishing criteria for the creation and use of animals, in order to ensure their ethical treatment.

REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO USE ANIMALS IN TEACHING AND/OR RESEARCH

Todo docente responsável por projeto de ensino ou pesquisa que envolva o uso de animais deverá submeter solicitação de protocolo para essa comissão através do Formulário de Autorização.

O Formulário de Autorização deverá ser encaminhado para e-mail da CEUA e entregue impresso e assinado na secretaria no prazo de até 5 dias da data de envio on-line. A secretaria do CEUA/UFRJ-Macaé está localizada junto à Coordenação de Pesquisa do Campus.

Forms submitted to CEUA/UFRJ-Macaé must contain all the information and documents requested in the form, under penalty of not being analyzed.

The use of animals without the knowledge and authorization of this Commission is strictly prohibited.
